Three teenagers, Abiodun Fatai, 19, Muiz Salawu, 18 and Abdulrahman Rasheed, 18, on Tuesday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan, over an alleged unlawful possession of a Dane gun.
The trio, whose addresses were not provided, were charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of Dane gun, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Samuel Owolabi told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan. 19, at about 9.00 p.m., at Zenith bank junction, Bodija, Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendants unlawfully concealed one cut-to-size Dane gun inside a tricycle with the aim of committing felony.
He said the offences contravened the provisions of provisions of Sections 509 and 516 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Gladys Olanrewaju granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until March 23, for hearing.
