The United Arab Emirates' immigration authorities have announced a visa ban on Nigerians, adding that all submitted applications have been rejected and fees are non-refundable.

It was learned that a notice sent to its business partners in Nigeria, including travel agencies, on Friday contained the announcement.

The Dubai authorities stated that all applications were on hold until disputes between the UAE government and the Nigerian government were resolved, despite the fact that no explanation for the ban was provided.

The UAE immigration authorities' most recent decision affects all Nigerians seeking to travel to the UAE.
