HoS warns civil servants against exam malpractice
Yahuza Adamu added that according to the tenets of examination policy, the main thrust of the examination, apart from paving way for promotion, acquainted civil servants with regulatory, professional and general knowledge.
The Head of Civil Service (HoS) in Bauchi State, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu, has warned civil servants participating in the 2022 promotion examination in the state against malpractices.
Adamu stated this at a two-day workshop for 2022 civil service promotion examination, organised for civil servants by the office of Head of Civil Service in collaboration with Dugge Management Services Limited.
Supreme reports that 3,000 civil servants across the state would be participating in the promotion examination on Sept. 17.
According to Adamu, the importance of the workshop cannot be over-emphasised as it signifies the continued demonstration of the present administration's commitment to uplift the state's civil service and human capital development.
He added that according to the tenets of examination policy, the main thrust of the examination, apart from paving way for promotion, acquainted civil servants with regulatory, professional and general knowledge.
"This knowledge will in turn, contribute immensely in boosting their capacity and reading culture as well as increase effective performance of their duties for efficient service delivery in the state.
"Based on these genuine factors, coupled with the present administration's ongoing reinvigoration and repositioning of the civil service as a veritable tool in the realisation of its objectives.
"The administration did not only sustain the examination policy but is also doing everything within its reach to strengthen it for the benefit of civil servants and the civil service.
"It is my belief therefore, that with the current commitment of Gov. Bala Mohammed and the reciprocal commitment of the civil servants, our goal of improved quality service delivery will be achieved," he said.
The HoS expressed confidence that the consultant handling the training would impart effective knowledge that would help them in the examination.
He urged all the civil servants in the state to appreciate the 'good' gesture of the present administration both within the civil service, infrastructural development, and security improvement, among others.
One of the participants, Malam Ibrahim Yaya, appreciated the state government for providing an avenue to train and prepared them ahead of the promotion examination.
He promised to give the training all his best to come out in flying colours after the examination.
