NNL: Ekiti United FC resumes training with prayer session
The Secretary of the club, Bolu Idowu led the prayer session for 45 minutes to seek God’s guidance and protection of the players and technical crew of the club ahead of the season.;
The Ekiti United FC on Monday resumed training with prayer session ahead of the Nigeria National League(NNL).
Supreme news reports that the technical crew and players gathered at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium at 8.00a.m in Ado-Ekiti.
The Secretary of the club, Bolu Idowu led the prayer session for 45 minutes to seek God’s guidance and protection of the players and technical crew of the club ahead of the season.
In his address, Idowu expressed gratitude to God for the success of Nationwide League One(NLO) campaign which Ekiti United FC participated without the death of any of the players and crew members.
He thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his immense support for the team.
Idowu commended the government for purchasing the NNL slot for the club and the ongoing renovation of the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium and football pitch.
He urged the players and staff to show commitment and repay the government’s support by working hard to secure a place in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.
Similarly, the Team Manager of the club, Babatola Olusola thanked the state government for its continued support.
He charged the players and staff to be focused and committed to the collective goal of achieving NPFL promotion.
Also speaking, the Head Coach, Rotimi Salau while welcoming the players and crew to the new season, emphasised that preparations had begun in earnest.
Salau assured the state government that the team would work harder to ensure that the club ends the season with success.
Supreme news reports that open screening of new and competent players has commenced at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in preparation for the NNL season.
