Men in court over alleged sexual assault against teenager

Two carpenters, Godwin Edache and Sheriff Kazeem, on Friday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged indecent sexual assault of a teenage girl.
The defendants, Edache, 28, and Kazeem, 20, both residents of Shasha Area, Akowonjo, Lagos State, both pleaded not guilty to the charge of sexual assault
The Prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offence was commited between June 13 and June 14 at Akinrele Close, Shasha area , Akowonjo, Lagos.
Ademigbuji said that defendants lured a 15- year -old girl to the corner of their house when she came to fetch water.
The prosecutor said that the defendants sucked her breast and inserted their fingers into her Private part.
The offence, according to the prosecutor, contravened section 263 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr L. A Owolabi granted the defendants N500, bail each and with two sureties in like sum.
Owolabi adjoured the case until Oct. 23 for mention.
