On Thursday, the Vice Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun, Prof. Abiodun Adebayo, said the institution’s graduates were the most employable in Nigeria and Africa.

Adebayo said this during the 2023 International Education and Careers Fair organized by the institution in Ota, Ogun.

He said the institution had produced over 20,000 employable graduates since its inception in 2002 and that most of them were doing well in various fields across the globe.

“The university has the vision of raising a new generation of leaders who will restore the glory of the black races,” he said.

According to him, the institution has a unique brand and provides life-transforming education to its students.

Mr. John Alli, Human Resources Business, Friesland Campina, said graduates must be able to translate their certificates into value in order to build successful careers in the digital age.

Alli also emphasized the need for graduates to imbibe the culture of problem solving and decision-making, have a growth mindset, and be customer-focused to be employable.

Also, Mr. Ferdinand Adimefe, Chief Executive Officer, Magic Carpet, said graduates required creativity and technology to thrive.

“The graduates should start thinking of creating things to change the world,” he said.

Adimefe stressed the need for graduates to take risks to achieve their visions and build their brands, which would unlock their potential.

Some of the institutions and organizations that participated at the fair are: Graduate Guidance, Netfird University, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, University of York, University of Bradford, University of Leicester, and St. George’s University.

Others are Friesland Campina, Northern University, the University of Glasgow, and the University of Kent.
