Kwara wins international debate in Malaysia

Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) emerged winner of the 2025 Asia parliamentary International Debate Competition held at HELP University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
A statement issued by the spokesperson of the board, Aminat Atere, on Sunday in Ilorin said Kwara, representing Nigeria, triumphed over Cambodia, emerging as overall winner.
Atere said the championship featured 16 countries from Asia, Africa and Europe.
”This exceptional achievement is a testament to the brilliance, dedication, and resilience of our students who were determined to appreciate Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s huge investment in basic education.
”This international triumph follows their victorious performance at the 2024 Presidential School Debate Championship in Abuja,” she said
Supreme news reports that the 2025 victory at the Asia Parliamentary International Debate marks Kwara’s first-ever international debate championship title and its third at the national-level.
