Some youths on Wednesday took to the streets of Osogbo in Osun to protest the death of a young indigene of Ofatedo community who was allegedly killed by men of the Police Joint Task Force.

Supreme reports that the angry youths burnt tyres on some roads and blocked vehicular movements over the death of their colleague.
The situation was later brought under control by the Police, with armoured vehicle stationed at the Dele-Yes-Sir roundabout, Osogbo.

An eye witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Newsmen that the alleged killing by an unknown personnel of the JTF Squad led to the angry youths taking to the streets in protest.
Mr Leye Afolabi, a civil servant, also told Newsmen that the situation had created tension and also fear in the Ofatedo community .

Afolabi called on the state government to investigate the killing and bring to book anyone found culpable to avoid such recurrence.
He commended the call for the Police Commissioner in Osun to thoroughly investigate the root cause of the incident, adding that such investigation would help to bring the perpetrators to book.

Supreme reports that the Osun Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Mrs Yemisi Opalola, had assured the public that a thorough investigation would be carried out to ascertain the root cause and to prevent recurrence.
