Raja Club Athletic and Pyramids have all to play for in Casablanca, after a barren draw in their 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first leg clash in Cairo on Sunday evening.

Pyramids will travel to Casablanca on Sunday seeking in the least a scoring draw to progress to a second consecutive final.

Raja though will rue their missed chances in the second leg of the duel as they could not get the ball inside the net.

This is the first time in the tournament this year that Raja have failed to score.

Star striker Soufiane Rahimi had the game’s best chances in the opening half.

In the 10th minute, he took a shot from range after being allowed space, but the Pyramids goalkeeper managed to parry the ball away at full stretch.

In the 23rd minute, the striker had an even better chance to score when he was put through on goal by Mahmoud Benhalib.

But his close range shot was well saved by the Pyramids goalkeeper.

Seven minutes to the break, Pyramids had their first real go at goal.

That was when a cross from Hamdy Sharaf picked out Ibrajim Adel inside the box, but the latter’s shot was blocked.

In the second half it was same script same cast.

Rahimi had a glancing header off a free-kick go wide while, at the other end, Ramdhan Sobhi was tormenting the Raja backline.

But his antics and footwork did not bear a goal.
