Godwin Bamigboye, a contestant for the chairmanship position of FCT Football Association (FA) says U-13 football league is the roadmap toward ensuring greater football development in the country.

Bamigboye who is also a board member of the FCT FA told Newsmen that he would introduce U-13 and U-15 leagues in the FCT, if elected.

Supreme Magazine gather that Godwin Bamigboye is vying for the position FCT FA chairman with the incumbent chairman, Musa Talle and one other person.

He said that he would reposition the Federal Capacity Territory (FCT) into an ideal national football capital.

“We are hosting NFF and the world; therefore we must be one of the best in football management.
“It is also very unthinkable that in the past, we have not been able to produce an NPFL club.

“I have the capacity to produce an NPFL club if elected chairman of the FA,” Bamigboye asserted.

The FCT FA contestant said that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in galvanising football in the FCT.

He expressed optimism in his chances of winning the election in view of his credibility and competence.

Bamigboye, who described Principals Cup competition as the foundation for football in FCT, said that he would also introduce the cup at the junior secondary schools level.

The FCT FA election is scheduled for Feb. 11 in Abuja.
