Tiwa Savage Alarms Police Over Davido Threat

Singer Tiwa Savage has written to the Nigerian Police Force's Lagos Command regarding an alleged threat from Afrobeat musician David Adeleke, also known as Davido.

She stated in a letter to the Commissioner of Police dated January 9, 2024, that she wished to bring a "testing situation" involving herself and Davido to the attention of the command.

Tiwa Savage informed the police in her letter that she had published a message on December 23, 2023, which featured Sophia Momodu (Davido's Baby Mama). Davido replied to Savage's message by instructing her manager to discontinue all communication with him.

She stated that Davido accused her of taunting him with the Instagram post. She claimed that Davido had addressed her with words that she perceived as insulting and menacing.

Tiwa Savage deemed Davido's conduct "unethical" and stated that if anything were to happen to her or a member of her family, the Afrobeat singer should be held accountable by the authorities.

She gave the police her word that she would gladly supply further evidence in support of her accusations against Davido, should they request it.
