Standard Chartered Bank, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), and the British Deputy High Commission have bagged the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) most supportive organization award.

Ms. Bisi Adeyemi, president of the NBCC, said in a report on Saturday in Lagos that Standard Chartered Bank's award was for the most supportive organization and NIPC's was for the most supportive public sector organization.

She added that the British Deputy High Commission award was for the most supportive British institute, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers bagged the chamber's award for technology support.

Adeyemi said the award celebrated excellence in the Nigerian business space while fostering the UK-Nigerian bilateral relationship.

She added that some deserving individual officers of the Chamber, such as Prince Bimbo Olashore, Founder of Leadcapital Plc, Mr. Akin Osuntoki, a business management consultant, Mr. Ray Atelly, Deputy President, and others, received NBCC awards.

"The chairman of the advocacy committee, Ms Anne Rinu, was specially recognized for her advocacy drive, while Mrs. Doris Ugochukwu clinched the "most innovative staff" award, and Mrs. Ajoke Onabolujo got the longest-serving staff award.

"I laud all our members for their tremendous cooperation and support of the chamber over the years.

"The NBCC is on an upward trajectory and is poised to retain its leading position at the forefront of bilateral trade relations in Nigeria," she said.

The NBCC president enumerated the achievements recorded in the course of the year 2022, which included the launch and take-off of the NBCC Tech Academy and the creative and cultural groups, among other notable initiatives.
