They also claimed that he prevented engineers and directors from performing their duties and that, since his appointment, he has violated public service rules by employing consultants to manage the ministry's affairs.

Dave Umahi, the Minister of Works, was locked in his office by protesting employees who accused him of being overbearing.

According to reports, the minister prevented employees who arrived late to work on Thursday morning from entering the Ministry.

The Housing and Works ministry's union members chose to lock the ministry, preventing entry and exit and preventing the minister from departing the office.

They also claimed that he prevented engineers and directors from performing their duties and that, since his appointment, he has violated public service rules by employing consultants to manage the ministry's affairs.

Williams Kudi, a union official, explained that the Minister had denied them an audience to voice their concerns.
