As one of the most powerful native physicians in Anambra State, it was surprising that he was kidnapped with such ease in one of the three hotels he built in Oba, Triple P Hotel.

A prominent native doctor based in his hometown of Oba in the Idemili North local government area of Anambra State was abducted in one of his hotels on Sunday night.

The native doctor, known as Akwa Okuko tiwara aki (an egg that breaks palm nuts), was believed to have the ability to vanish, but he was unable to do so when his captors arrived.


His two personal assistants were reportedly murdered in the vicinity of the hotel before he was kidnapped with ease.

As one of the most powerful native physicians in Anambra State, it was surprising that he was kidnapped with such ease in one of the three hotels he built in Oba, the Triple P Hotel.



The Anambra State police command has confirmed his kidnapping, with the state's Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, stating that the incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. last night.

The state police commissioner, Aderemi Adeoye, has already ordered agents to pursue his kidnappers and secure his release.


A source said, "Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki has been Kidnapped. Two of his security personnel were murdered.


The simplicity of his abduction casts doubt on his rumoured strength.


In the meantime, many individuals have been making their way to his residence in Oba to determine if he was, in fact, abducted on account of the immense powers he was believed to possess.


Furthermore, the captors have not communicated with his family regarding the ransom.
