Legislator promises constituents of additional development projects

Alhaji Mohammed Alkali, the member representing Lafia North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has assured the people of his constituency of more developmental projects.
Alkali said he aimed to bring in projects that would boost the socio-economic activities and ensure the welfare of all the constituents.
The lawmaker, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, gave the assurance while playing host to officials of the Ashige Electoral Ward of the constituency, who were on a congratulatory visit to him on Tuesday, in Lafia.
Alkali said that providing more infrastructure and developmental projects to the people of the constituency would also promote peace in the area.
"I want to thank you for congratulating me on my victory in the Federal High Court as the APC candidate for the constituency in 2023.
"This is not just my victory, but an APC victory." Let's continue to mobilize support for APC's success in 2023.
By God's grace, more projects, such as electricity, among others, will be provided to your area in order to impact lives positively.
"I want to re-assure you of my continuous open door policy and to provide more dividends of democracy to our people," he said.
Alkali also called on party officials and members to continue to mobilize support for Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates to succeed in 2023.
He tasked them with promoting peaceful coexistence in order to boost agricultural activities for the overall development of the area and the state at large.
Earlier, Mr. Musa Mohammed, the APC chairman of Ashige electoral ward, said that the visit was to congratulate Alkali on his victory at court.
Mohammed assured the lawmaker of their loyalty and support to enable him to succeed.
The chairman also assured Alkali of the party's determination to mobilize support for him, Governor Sule, and other APC candidates come 2023.
Supreme Court reports that a Federal High Court, Lafia, presided by Justice Nehezina Afolabi, had, on Nov. 1, declared Alkali the authentic and lawful winner of the APC primaries held on May 27.
The court held that all the preliminary objections by the 3rd defendant, Mrs Juliana Esla, lacked merit.
