Minister impregnates Deputy, says it "accidental"

Tony Mwaba Kazadi, the Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has admitted to impregnating his Deputy Minister, Aminata Namasia, calling it "accidental."

According to local reports, despite being married, the ministers developed affection for each other while working together.

The Heritage Times reports that a journalist from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lungila John, took to Twitter to disclose the affair that led to the deputy education minister's pregnancy.

Citizens of the DRC have harshly criticized the pair, accusing them of poor behavior and immorality.

Archy Lema, a DRC citizen and Twitter user, stated that the DRC is a shameful nation.

If politicians in the country, particularly Kazadi and Namasia, wished to be referred to as "excellencies" or "honorables," their conduct should have been more excellent and honorable, especially given their popularity and wealth in comparison to other Congolese.

The Heritage Times reported on April 12, 2021, that Namasia was appointed National Deputy Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education in the Democratic Republic of Congo under the cabinet of Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde.

Lema stated that Namasia has no education to offer any young woman in the nation.
