NSCDC inaugurates Divisional Office

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara Command, on Friday inaugurated a new Divisional Office in Oro-Ago town, Ifelodun Local Government Area to deepen security in the state.

Supreme reports that the inauguration was conducted by the state NSCDC Commandant, Mr Ayinla Makinde, at Oro-Ago.

The commandant said that NSCDC would increase its efforts in intelligence gathering, especially at the grassroots and border communities to combat rising insecurity in the country.

Makinde said that the extension of the corps to the grassroots level had become necessary to ensure lives and properties of Nigerians were well protected across the country.

The commandant commended the effort of Oba Johnson Olanrewaju-Dada of Oro-Ago and the community members for their cooperation and effort in ensuring the completion of the NSCDC Divisional office project in record time.

The commandant, however, implored the residents of Oro-Ago to give prompt and valuable information to security agents in the community to ensure peace stability and development.

He promised to deploy more personnel to the town for effective and efficient service delivery.

Makinde urged officers and men of the new division to make good use of the office and infrastructure and also carry out their duty professionally to justify the trust repose in NSCDC by the community.

In his remark, Oba Olanrewaju-Dada expressed gratitude to the commandant and his management team for their outstanding support before, during and after the completion of the project.

He promised to provide a conducive working environment for officers and men deployed to the community to enable them discharge their duties appropriately.
