Every entrance to the court premises, the street on which the court is located are also barricaded by the heavily armed security operatives.

Federal High Court in Abuja, its surroundings and adjoining streets have been taken over by security operatives drawn from the State Security Service (SSS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) ahead of the planned resumption of the trial of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu today.

Every entrance to the court premises, the street on which the court is located are also barricaded by the heavily armed security operatives. At about 8:05 am, another heavy convoy of armed operatives arrived and drove straight with speculation that they could be conveying the defendant (Kanu). The trial that was scheduled to commence by 9 am.
