Petitioner seeks marriage dissolution over interference

A petitioner, Mr Tilenen Eru on Monday, asked a Customary Court in Garki, Abuja to dissolve his marriage with his wife, Mrs Magret Eru over alleged third party interference.
The petitioner said this in a petition for marriage dissolution filed against the respondent his wife.
He averred that since their union, he had always warned his wife to stop discussing their martial issues with third parties but she had failed to listen
“Any little thing that happens between us she will tell her friends and they always give her bad advice,” he said.
He also averred that since the union, there had been irreconcilable marital problems with his wife.
“These issues were mostly activated by constant and negative interference from her friends and companions,” he said.
He also alleged that his wife was dishonest, adding that ‘she lies a lot’.
The petitioner told the court that the respondent had moved out of their matrimonial home and had been threatening to kill him.
In response, the respondent who is a businesswoman, denied all the allegations as averred by the petitioner.
The presiding judge, Mr Festus Enomhonse, has adjourned the case until April 15, for hearing.
