A fabricator, Chikwado Uzoma, was on Wednesday docked in a Grade 1 Area Court, Karu, Abuja for allegedly threatening to kill a woman.

The police charged the defendant, whose address is, 42, behind Water Board Karu, Abuja with Criminal Intimidation.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecution Counsel, Olanrewaju Osho told the court that sometimes in July 2022, the complainant went to the environmental office in Nyanya to plead with them over a matter they both had with the environmental operatives.

Osho said upon the complainant return, she met with the defendant to discuss the issue with him.

He said in the process, the defendant threatened to kill the complainant with hitting her on the chest with his head, where she would fall and die after then he will surrender himself to the police for prosecution.

The prosecutor said during police investigation, the defendant could not defend all the allegations against him.

He said the matter was reported at Karu police station, by Anita Wogu of behind karu park Abuja.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 397b of the penal Code.

The Judge, Umar Mayana granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties with valid I.D cards, and must live within the court jurisdiction.

The Judge ordered that the sureties’ addresses must be verified by the court officer and the police officer.

Mayana, therefore, adjourned the case until Feb. 15 for ruling.
