"This is evidenced by the countless numbers of used condoms scattered all around my matrimonial home and in his car."

A businesswoman, Mrs. Lilian Pam, on Thursday dragged her husband Melvin before a Customary Court in Jikwoyi, accusing him of having ”numerous extramarital affairs”.

In her petition, Pam said, My husband committed adultery with several women. This is evidenced by the countless numbers of used condoms scattered all around my matrimonial home and in his car.

“He has been denying me my conjugal rights for over two years now.” She said.

She also told the court that her husband takes intoxicants like alcohol, and the effects on him make him cruel, brutal, and violent to her.

She said she had told him to stop drinking, smoking, and womanising, but he refused.

Pam prayed to the court to grant her divorce and custody of their only child.

The respondent, Melvin, who was present in court, denied the allegations.

The presiding judge, Mr. Dada Oluwaseyi, advised the couple to explore an out-of-court settlement.

Oluwaseyi adjourned the matter until July 27 for a report of settlement or hearing.
