Expert says speech, bodily disorders are curable

Victoria Onu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grace Nursing Care Centre (GNCC) in Abuja says there is cure for all speech and bodily disorders. She made this known in an interview in Abuja on Tuesday.

She affirmed the capacity of GNCC to provide therapeutic procedures to all manner of speech and physical impairments, saying "we use speech therapy techniques to improve communication. These include articulation therapy, language intervention activities, and others, depending on the type of speech or language disorder.

"Speech therapy may be needed for speech disorders that develop in childhood or speech impairments in adults caused by an injury or illness, such as stroke or brain injury."

Onu expressed the determination of the centre to continue to restore the dignity of humanity through care and love.

She explained that her centre was committed to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by leaving no one behind in delivering improved health.

GNCC focuses on rehabilitation, attendant care, palliative services for renal patients and stroke patients, including speech and physical therapy.
