Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Minister of Women Affairs, has pledged brighter days ahead and a renewed commitment to the ministry’s dedicated workforce, as well as to enhancing service delivery for women and vulnerable groups.

This is contained in a statement on Thursday in Abuja by Mr Jonathan Eze, the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, following a recent protest by ministry staff over poor welfare, inadequate training, and other concerns.

Reaffirming her dedication, Sulaiman-Ibrahim announced plans to convene a strategic retreat for all ministry staff.

According to her, the goal is to realign policies and programmes with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

She emphasised that brighter days were not a distant aspiration, but the result of deliberate actions and unwavering dedication.

“The work we are doing today is not merely about making promises for tomorrow; it’s about taking concrete, well-considered steps to build a more inclusive, secure, and prosperous Nigeria for all,” she said.

The Minister also expressed her determination to ensure that every government initiative under her leadership delivered real, measurable benefits for women, children, families, and vulnerable persons nationwide.

Addressing staff welfare, Sulaiman-Ibrahim assured the workforce of her resolve to promote a culture of excellence, transparency, accountability, and a conducive working environment.

“Your commitment is the engine of our progress, and together we will build a legacy of service and transformative impact,” she stated.

She highlighted the ministry’s ongoing interventions, including the distribution of relief materials to vulnerable women and families across the country.

She also reiterated her zero-tolerance stance on gender-based violence, noting that systems were being reinforced to support survivors and ensure justice.

“I am confident that through our collective efforts, we are laying a firm foundation for a future where every Nigerian woman and child can truly thrive,” the minister affirmed.

She added that the ministry was driving high-impact programmes aimed at promoting economic empowerment, strengthening social protection systems, and fostering national development.
