We endorse Yusuf’s second term for his capable, purposeful leadership — Forum

He said that the Governor had declared a state of emergency in education which had started yielding positive results.

The Forum of Heads of Kano State Government Agencies, has endorsed the second term bid of Gov. Abba Yusuf, for his capable and purposeful leadership of the state during the past two years of his administration.

The Chairman of the forum, who doubles as the CEO of the Kano State Tourism Management Board, Alhaji Tukur Bala, made the endorsement at a press briefing at the end of a three-day retreat in Katsina.

He said that the Governor had declared a state of emergency in education which had started yielding positive results.

Bala said that the government recruited about 9, 000 teachers, settled their outstanding promotions and enhanced their welfare.

The government also provided the needed teaching and learning materials across its public schools.

“The result of this is, Kano State came first in the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO),” he said.

The chairman said that Yusuf inherited over N46 billion workers gratuities, but was able to so far settle N27 billion out of the amount.

He cited other achievements of the governor in the areas of urban renewal programme, adding that the governor had turned Kano into a construction site as everyone could see.

According to him, he had provided solar-powered streetlights to strengthen security in the metropolitan areas.

Bala revealed that Tiga dam 10 megawatts and Challawa-goje dam six megawatts hydro electric power projects were on progress and have reached certain level of completion.

He said that the government completed the five kilometer roads in each of the 44 local governments, which was initiated by the former governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya, Sen. Rabiu Musa-Kwankwaso, but abandoned in eight years.

“Gov. Yusuf now completed them, and electrified them with solar-powered, we say thank you Sir,” he said.

The chairman further appreciated the governor for establishing Neighborhood Watch Corps and anti Phone Snatching team to strengthen security of lives and property.

Bala stated that the government was donating N50,000 as empowerment to each of the 36,400 women every month.


He further revealed that the government supported over 5, 000 youth who graduated from skills acquisition centres with capital to set up businesses.

According to him, the government renovated 40 General Hospitals and a number of Primary Health Centers across the state to boost health of its people.

He said: “We are behind you, go again in 2027,” he said.
