I have capacity to resolve Benue APC crisis – chairmanship aspirant

The immediate past commissioner for Power, Renewable Energy and Transport, Chief Omale Omale, says he has the capacity to resolve Benue All Progressive Congress (APC) lingering crisis.
Omale, who is contesting for the state chairmanship position of the party, told newsmen on Wednesday in Makurdi that he possessed all the qualities to manage the party in the state.
He said only those with adequate knowledge and history of the party should be elected to manage its affairs.
“I’m in a position to understand the various tendencies if they exist, and I have the capacity.
“I have been in party management and government administration to provide or bridge the missing links from the secretariat that will deepen APC as a party and make it an all-inclusive party.
“My administration will sustain government to deliver on the mandate and the manifesto of the party for the good of the people. I assure you that it will be a win-win for the party and her supporters.
“I have seen overnight new players being thrown up that do not know the history of the party.
“The labour of our past forebears who sat and watched with disillusionment, their labour translating to fruition now being mismanaged.
“They are not identified, honoured and carried along,” he said.
Omale, who is also a founding member of the party, said the current unity caretaker committee of the party at the state level has failed to unite the party despite their clear given mandate.
He said throughout their time in office they failed to cost a meeting where all leaders of the party in the state were in attendance in inspite of their divergent views.
“Whether we have achieved that is a big no. We haven’t seen a meeting called or coordinated by this Unity committee that enjoys the attendance or recognition of all factions of the party in the state.
“The divide is still there. I think there is a missing link.
“That missing link, by my own observation, flows from the personality and capacity of the membership of the committee, who should expectedly work with the leadership of the party in the state.
“Good enough; we are all members of the APC, those who are amenable to camps A and B and even others who are ordinary members, and their allegiance is to the party and not to any individual or camp.
“We have them. How do we identify them and bring them to this scope so that we have members of one political party in the same room with divergent views that allow for democracy to be at work?
“For everybody to have a say and the majority to have their way without rocking it out or creating a divide that will continuously cause this sense of disunity in the party in the state,” he said
