Adeleke's victory rekindled hope of PDP, says Oyo lawmaker

Rep. Stanley Olajide (PDP-Ibadan South-West/North-West) has congratulated the governor-elect in Osun, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, describing his emergence as sweet victory for the PDP.

Olajide made the remark in a congratulatory statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Supreme reports that Adeleke of the PDP defeated the incumbent Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, at the July 16 governorship election in Osun.

Olajide said that the development had further rekindled the hope of PDP members nationwide.

"This current reality is a further testimony that PDP will take over nationwide in 2023 by winning more states and ultimately reclaiming the presidency from the All Progressives Congress," he said.

He admonished Adeleke to be magnanimous in victory and work toward the greater glory of Osun, praying his shinning light would never go dim.

"On behalf of the Oyo State Government led by my leader, Gov. Seyi Makinde and the good people of my constituency, I congratulate Sen. Ademola Adeleke and the people of Osun State.

"The light has come and will never go dim Insha Allah. Sure, PDP is taking over more states and the presidency in 2023," Olajide added.
