The outgoing Chairman, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has begged residents of the council to forgive him in whichever way he might have offended them.
Alhaji Abdurrahman Sani-Maigoro made the appeal at the end of his three-year tenure in Keffi on Friday.
Sani-Maigoro, however, noted that his administration had impacted positively on the lives of the people of the area through various policies and programmes.
“I have done my best in the areas of education, security, health, agriculture and infrastructure toward improving the living standard of my people.
“It is my happiness and gratitude to Almighty Allah that we started peacefully and by the grace of God we are ending successfully.
“Whoever, anywhere and anytime we have wronged in one way or the other while discharging our duties, we kindly seek for forgiveness; no man is perfect.
“I must again say forgive us, many were here before us and many shall also come after us, but its ours that we know, we seek for forgiveness,’’ he said.
Sani-Maigoro thanked the people for supporting his administration to succeed and appealed to them to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders in the state to succeed.
The chairman immediately announced the sack of his political appointees and directed them to hand over properties in their possession to the most senior officer in their respective departments.
Supreme reports that the 13 local government chairmen in the state were sworn into office in the various councils on May 28, 2018.
