An 18-year-old has been sentenced to life imprisonment for two counts of murder following the killing of two teachers at a school in Malmö, Sweden, almost six months ago.
In addition to the prison sentence, he would have to pay about one million Swedish kronor (about 93,000 dollars) in damages to the surviving relatives.
The court in Sweden's third-largest city had announced on Thursday.
The young man confessed to having committed the attack on March 21.
He had been armed, among other things, with an axe.
He was arrested after he reported the crime himself by an emergency call.
When they arrived at the scene on the third floor of the high school, police discovered two seriously injured female teachers and also the 18-year-old student.
The two women later died of their injuries.
