Canada reduces Nigerian, other student admissions

The Canadian government plans to impose a national cap to reduce the number of overseas students admitted to the country.

Marc Miller, the immigration minister of the country, made this assertion in an interview with CTV's Question Period on Sunday.

According to him, it is necessary for the Canadian government to convene a meeting with provincial governments "to ensure that the provinces that have been neglecting their responsibilities effectively control those numbers in terms of volume alone."
