The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and an international leasing company in Tunis have signed a loan agreement for 5 million euros granted to Tunisia to finance micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME).
The deal is to enable them to cope with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
The loan will provide these companies long-term financing to acquire equipment, cargoes and light commercial components.
The money is supported by the European Union as part of the inclusive programme for assisting micro, small and medium enterprises in countries of the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean Basin so that they are better equipped to be competitive.
