Coach Salisu Yusuf of Rangers International FC of Enugu says he is hopeful the Flying Antelopes will humble Enyimba FC of Aba in Sunday’s outstanding derby in Enugu.

Supreme reports that the Nigeria Professional Football League match day 19, which was to be played on April 4, was shifted because of Enyimba’s continental engagement.
Yusuf told newsmen after his team’s training session on Friday that they were set to ensure a win against the visiting People’s Elephant of Aba.

“We are prepared. Just like any other league match, there are three points at stake and we are working towards getting it.
“We are optimistic to pick the maximum point, though we are not God but it is the desire of every team to win all matches they venture in.
“For us, Enyimba FC will go back empty-handed because we need the points to enhance our chances of wining the league,” he said.

The coach said that a win would put the club back in contention for the league trophy as it would lift it to the fourth position on the table.
“With a win on Sunday, then only three points will separate us from the league leaders, Kwara United.

“Being in that position will brighten our chances because anything can happen before the end of the season,” he said.
He evaluated the club’s performance in the current league, saying it had done well so far but needed to improve in the second stanza.
He called on the league organisers to find a better way to ensure that the league did not end abruptly.

“I will be disappointed if the league ends abruptly because this will be the third or fourth time the league would end halfway in a row.
“Ending the league halfway did not sound well for Nigerian football.
“The league needs to be well organised and there should conscious efforts to ensure it starts at the same time with other leagues in the world, so that it will end at the same time,” Yusuf said.
