Technology firms, Hydropolis Investment Limited and Zeetin Precision Engineering Company have pledged to partner to promote industrialisation in the country. Mr Azibaola Robert, founder of Zeetin Precision Engineering Company, said in a statement in Yenagoa, on Friday, that the partnership would provide a solid framework for industries to start and thrive.

Robert announced that the company on Wednesday, in Abuja, received the management of Hydropolis Investment Limited, a subsidiary of Mainstream Energy Solutions, that operates the Kainji Hydroelectric dam. According to Robert, the Hydropolis firm was on a working visit to Zeetin's factory, as part of the collaborative effort to deepen and catalyse the industrialisation of Nigeria,

The two firms are currently working on building the Hydropolis industrial park in Kainji, Niger State, he explained, adding that as part of its investment, Hydropolis was commencing the building of a Free Trade Zone. The proposed facility would be a one-stop industrial park to house over 200 industries, together with an international airport, a luxurious living city and a forest reserve that will also drive tourism to Nigeria.

The Hydropolis delegation, led by Dr. Abdulmalik Ndagi, its project coordinator, expressed satisfaction over Zeetin's capacity to provide the technology backup for the building of the industrial park, in addition to its ability to continuously provide spares for the various industries to be located in the park. The Zeetin founder noted that only strategic collaboration between technology-driven Nigerian companies can provide a veritable vehicle for fast-tracking the infrastructural development of the country.

Robert stated that Nigeria's infrastructural development can easily be fast-tracked, when the companies, especially those that are technology-driven, collaborate strategically for the overall infrastructural development and growth of Nigeria. That is what they do in Zeetin. They are providing pioneer engineering solutions to Nigeria for the overall development of the country. This would spur several other Nigerians and companies to follow suit, and before you know it, Nigeria will emerge as a technologically advanced country to reckon with.

Responding, Ndagi said that Zeetin and Hydropolis would work out modalities that would enable the two companies work together for the realisation of Hydropolis' laudable projects in the country. What they have come to see in Zeetin has overtaken their own plans. They need to work out modalities on how they could work with Zeetin to replicate the factory in their industrial park.

Ndagi said it would help bring down the cost of project, as well as enable to accomplish it faster, in the interest of Nigeria. The machines you have at Zeetin are far, far beyond what they envisaged and would be of great benefit. So, there's definitely a need for collaboration with Zeetin. The company is the promoter and developer of the Hydropolis Free Zone; its flagship investments comprising Afani Industrial Park, Afani Smart City, Hydropolis International/Cargo Airport – all located within the Hydropolis Free Zone.

Both companies said they were committed to working out modalities of cooperation for the common benefit of the respective companies, especially for the realisation of the industrial park in Kainji, in which construction has already commenced.
