US Don to Develop Postgraduate Supervision Web-Based Kit

Prof. Rasheed Jimoh, the Dean, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin (Unilorin), says a visiting scholar from Xavier University, USA, will develop a postgraduate supervision web-based kit for the faculty.
Jimoh disclosed this on Monday while presenting the visiting Fellow of Carnegie African Diaspora programme, Prof. Adekunle Okunoye, to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem, in his office in Ilorin.
He stated that the kit would provide operational manual and guidelines for conducting research and supervising postgraduate students.
The dean pointed out that the visiting Fellow would adapt the mentoring programme of Xavier University and Business Analytics curriculum development for the faculty and hopefully for all faculties in Unilorin.
According to him, the visiting Fellow will also provide a project platform for collaborative research and postgraduate students’ co-supervision activities.
In his remarks, the Visiting Fellow (Okunoye), said that he was happy to be back home and commended the Carnegie Foundation for sponsoring the programme.
He said that the programmes would put the Unilorin on a higher pedestal, adding that he looked forward to having a good working relationship with everyone.
While receiving Okunoye, the vice-chancellor the visiting fellow of utmost support by the institution.
Abdulkareem advised the Faculty of Communication and Information Science to take full advantage of the opportunity.
