Silver Wopara is the most talented and thrilling gospel artiste to grace the music and entertainment scene in several years in Nigeria and in the West African sub region. She represents the culture of her heritage through her own genre of music.

Her vision is to expand her musical landscape beyond the shores of her birth and beyond Africa. Many artistes in the gospel genre tend to be one dimensional in the context of target audience and lyrics. But Silver adopts a multidimensional approach to her music, a fact discernible in her multilingual lyrics, complex melodies that incorporate traditional percussion and modern instruments, as well as traditional dancing in her videos.

Silver is also an actress and a writer, demonstrating a versatility quite uncommon with the typical Nigerian gospel artiste. Her novel titled “Smashing Through,” is due for publication in November 2020. Silver is a native of Rivers State, Nigeria. She was born in Port Harcourt and received her elementary and secondary school education in Rivers State.

Upon graduating from the University of Port Harcourt in 2006 with a degree in Home Economics, Silver became an entrepreneur, specializing in high end fashion and jewelry. She started her career in gospel music in 2008 with the release of her first album titled Follow Jesus. God Na Baba, her second album, was released to much acclaim in 2015.

Featuring the hit song ‘Homa Menem,’ And ‘ogbor Udo;  which she sang in ikwerre language, solidifies silver’s position as one of the fast rising stars in gospel music genre. Silver’s much anticipated third album, My Praise, will soon be released.
