Norway’s Karsten Warholm has broken his own world record to take the gold medal in the men’s 400m hurdles at the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Warholm, a two-time world champion, stormed home to cross the line in 45.94 seconds.

American Rai Benjamin crossed the line for second place and the silver medal in 46.17, faster than the 46.70 world record the Norwegian had set just on July 1.

Brazil’s Alison dos Santos claimed the bronze medal in 46.72.
