Court remands 3 men over alleged armed robbery
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Philips Amusan told the court that the suspects on Dec. 12, 2021, at about 9. 30 p.m on Iwo road, Ibadan conspired together to commit felony to-with armed robbery.
A Magistrates' Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Wednesday ordered that three men charged with armed robbery be remanded in a correctional centre.
The police charged Moshood Muritala, 40; Shonibare Olaide, 42 and Samson Babajide, 51 with four counts of conspiracy, armed robbery, attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearms.
Magistrate Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti who did not take the plea of the suspects for want in jurisdiction., remanded them in the Correctional Centre in Abolongo, Oyo.
She directed the police to return the case file to the Oyo Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
She, thereafter adjourned the case until April 5, for the DPP's advice.

Amusan said the suspects, armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, attacked Mr James Nwankwo and dispossessed him of N205, 000.
He also said that the suspects on the same day, at about 10. 30 p.m attempted to kill Mr Sunday Awoniran.
The offence, Amusan said, contravenes the provisions of sections 6(B), 1(2) and 3 of the Robbery and Firearms laws of Nigeria, 2004, as well as Section 320 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
