Administrator vows improved healthcare in Nasarawa

The Administrator of the Akun Area Administrative Council in Nasarawa State, Dr Garba Adigizi, has pledged his administration’s commitment to prioritising healthcare services to improve the wellbeing of residents in the council area.
Adigizi said this on Thursday while receiving a delegation of Directors of Health from Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area at his office in Akpata, Akun Area Administrative Council.
He emphasised that prioritising healthcare would not only improve the health status of the people but also contribute to the overall development of the area.
He expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the delegation of his administration’s readiness to develop the health sector and other departments within the council.
“I want to appreciate you for the visit and to assure you of my support in developing the health department of the council.
“We must work together to ensure our people’s health is improved because a healthy nation is a wealthy nation,” Adigizi said.
The administrator also advised departmental heads and staff to curb absenteeism, truancy, and lateness, urging health workers to be punctual and committed to their duties, noting that the health of the people was paramount.
Adigizi further assured the visiting team of his continuous support to ensure optimal productivity and commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in improving the healthcare sector across the state.
Earlier, Mr Fari Eggon, Director of Health, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, said the visit was to congratulate Adigizi on his recent appointment as Administrator.
He reaffirmed the delegation’s commitment to improving the health status of the community and pledged their loyalty and support for the development of the health sector in the area.
