Greece will restrict attendance at football matches and other events to fans who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus from the middle of next month, the government said on Tuesday.

Clubs will be allowed to sell tickets for 85 per cent of their stadium capacity from July 15 and fans must wear masks, even though they are vaccinated.

Previously, events were held behind closed doors.

Record Greek football champions Olympiacos had already informed fans last week that in the future only vaccinated fans could attend games.
