The outgoing President, who asserted the successes recorded under her watch, identified unity and oneness as greatest.

According to her, the council remains united in all the states of the federation and shall continue to be one.

Dr Asabe Vilita-Bashir, the Director-General of the National Centre for Women Development (NCWD), urged women to continue to rally support for women's empowerment.

She reiterated the focus of the society in propagating all issues about women and congratulated the outgoing NCWS president on her achievements in a space of five years.

Dr Ejike Oji, the Senior Special Assistant to FCT Minister on Health and Hospitals Management, said women are crucial to national development.

Oji, who was honoured with Life Membership of FCT NCWS by the council, expressed determination to continue to work toward increasing women's access to quality healthcare, saying he is passionate about women issues.
