 The Industrial Training Fund (ITF), in a bid to modernise its operations and boost efficiency, has embraced digital communication and automation to improve public service delivery.

Dr Afiz Ogun, Director General of ITF said this on Monday in Jos during the 17th ITF management retreat .

Ogun, in a statement by Mr Thomas Ngor, Head, Press and Public Affairs, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to leveraging technology to streamline processes.

The DG, in his keynote address, themed: “Developing Effective Strategies for Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Implementation: Opportunities and Challenges,” outlined policies to improve skills development while enhancing personnel efficiency, work processes and staff welfare

According to the DG, the move marked the beginning of a fully automated internal communication system.

“In our pursuit of excellence, we are adopting digital tools to enhance efficiency and reduce reliance on paper-based processes,” he said.

“With immediate effect, internal and inter-departmental memos, along with official correspondence, would be transmitted electronically; a shift expected to improve response times, ensure accurate documentation, and boost collaboration.

“This is a bold step towards building a modern, forward-thinking institution ready to meet the demands of a dynamic global economy.”

Ogun/also revealed that the ITF was digitising and archiving all records from 2019 onward to improve accessibility and operational efficiency.
