It was all glamor and genuine joy when Joe Anele celebrated his beautiful wife, Thelma Anele on January 29, 2022. It was her birthday, but this celebration was more than a birthday celebration. It was a celebration with surplus significance.

It was a man's tangible gratitude to God for the gift of an amazing wife and a sincere appreciation of, to use her husband's words, "a jewel of inestimable value".

Yet, it was the celebration of a woman who, through her actions and natural inclinations, touched the lives of many.

It was then not surprising that some of the guests had come from different states in America -- New Jersey, New York, etc.

They came, braving the distance and suspending various engagements, to celebrate a woman who radiated profound godliness, love and humaneness.

Asked about his wife, Joe said: "she is a wonderful woman". But those words were loaded with much more. Beyond those words, it was in fact easy to feel and touch the depth of sincerity he was feeling, to see written across his constantly smiling face a joy and gratitude that were without pretension.

The guests were all glitzed up for the party, but the celebrant didn't leave anyone guessing whose party it was.

First, she hit the red carpet in an insanely beautiful Bollywood-themed dress. Red never looked better on anyone else. Later in the party, she was rocking a baby-pink dress with superimposed flowery silver designs. Her appearance spoke eloquently of beauty, grace and charm.

A well-attended event, it featured dancing, testimonies, appreciation, decent refreshment etc. A mother of four, the celebrant was all smiles when her children were given opportunities to say a few words to their beloved mom.

At the end, there are some lessons to draw from the event: first, it is good to be good and lead an impactful life, and goodness should flow inside-out. Second, celebration is best when the person for whom it is meant is there to share and enjoy the celebration.
