"Recall that the DSS issued warnings about impending bomb and violent assaults as well as plots by elements to target public locations on March 19, April 26, and December 14, 2021. Nigerians never took them seriously and never showed worry.

Everyone needs to calm down. Everyone needs to help security services by providing them with information on criminals. Be cautious.

Another high security source, however, felt that the US administration was overreacting and that the embassy's scare tactics may have kept the threat level under control.
