Nigeria’s Amaju Melvin Pinnick has been elected into the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) prestigious Council Seat.

Pinnick who is the incumbent President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) defeated his rival by 43 votes to 8 out of 51 votes available.

Prompt News reports that the former Delta State Football Association Chairman had earlier secured the backing of the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.
