A NIGHT WITHOUT GOD

How would I have known I was breathless?

Nothing crossed my mind, I was senseless

No water, sweat or blood, completely fluid less

Was I also blind or was the night darker than usual?

Would the day ever come so I could see again?

I cried out but no single drop from my pool of tears

Sang my heart out – did anybody hear? Am sure nobody cares

Lord is sweeter to die than to spend a moment without you
