5th Global Festival of Action on SDGs begins March 25 –Organisers

The 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Global Festival of Action, powered by the UN SDG Action Campaign would be held from March 25 to 26, 2021 via a virtual platform.

Information retrieved, on Wednesday, from https://globalfestivalofaction.org/about/, indicated that the global festival aimed at finding ways to inspire, mobilize and connect people and organizations to take action on the SDGs.

According to the organizers, “the Festival will be held in a dynamic virtual space due to the pandemic and would broadcast live from Japan

“It will feature six different stages, plenary sessions, talks, performances, interactive workshops, exhibitions and a space to connect with leaders, change makers, activists, the private sector and more.

“It will feature 300 speakers, 28 workshops, 10 musical performances, 20 exhibits, 4 interaction spaces and lots more”.

They added: “The festival is expected to bring together key partners and individuals to exchange knowledge, increase mutual understanding, develop solutions and mobilize ideas to take action toward the SDGs.

“It is also to provide a dynamic and interactive space to showcase the latest innovations, new ideas, tools, and approaches to SDG implementation.

“The festival is meant to inspire decision-makers, civil-society, organizations, and activists to drive action for sustainable development now and in the future”.
