18 Ships Discharging Petrol, other Items at Lagos Port – NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), on Tuesday, said that 18 ships were discharging petroleum products and foodstuffs at Lagos ports.
The NPA made this known through its publication, ‘Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to Newsmen in Lagos.
It listed the contents of the ships as general cargo, bulk wheat, frozen fish, base oil, fuel, bulk sugar, automobile gasoline, container maize and sodium carbonate.
The authority said that seven others ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with bulk wheat, bulk malt, frozen fish, container and petrol.
It added that it was expecting 16 other ships with petroleum products, food items and other goods between Jan. 26 and Feb. 15 at the Lagos Port complex.
According to NPA, the ships contain bulk sugar, frozen fish, bulk wheat, container, bulk gypsum, petrol, pop starch and general cargo.
